a tip of the hat

i see this gal all along the lakes community trail,
in gilbert willis park, maple glen park, clara miller
park, hickory glen park, stopping at every trash
container looking for deposit cans and bottles ...
today she stopped and introduced herself saying
"hi i'm the bag lady"  it turns out her name is
joan, and she rides her bike for exercise to help
control her diabetes .. the cans she turns in
for the deposit, then at the end of the year she
sends the money to the fowler center, a program
which provides camping experiences for children
and adults with developmental disabilities and
special needs ..  
a tip of the hat to you bag lady, you do good !!
